GripSense is the companion app for the GripSense smart toothbrush, built for people with reduced hand strength or grip control. This page covers setup, common questions, and how to reach us.
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your iPhone's Settings and that the toothbrush is powered on. In the app, tap Scan and keep the toothbrush within a few feet of your phone. If it still won't pair, turn the toothbrush off and on again, then try Scan once more.
These are the three grip pressure zones GripSense reads from the toothbrush's sensors while you brush. Comfort is a steady, secure grip, Weak means the sensors are reading less pressure than is likely to hold the brush firmly, and Excessive means you're gripping harder than needed.
GripSense learns what's normal for your grip over time. It needs 7 valid brushing sessions and 7 squeeze tests before it can show your personal baseline. Sessions under 20 seconds don't count toward this.
Yes. Your brushing and squeeze test data is stored locally on your device only. GripSense does not send it to any server.
Your session history includes a breakdown of time spent in each grip zone plus graphs of your grip strength over time, both from brushing sessions and squeeze tests. That's designed to be something you can bring along to an appointment.
Describe what happened and, if you can, which screen you were on. We aim to reply within a few days.
